The Office…

soo I am sitting on my bed with the laptop on my lap and one of my favourite shows ,The Office , is running in the background.Very nice lol
What happened recently? Well, on Monday i wanted to go to the MOMA because I got free tickets,with an Aupair from Brazil but when we got there the concierge told us that the Tickets have been used before . So we couldnt use them but we decided to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art but unfortunately it was closed on Monday so we just sat down in Central Park and talked .But I will get some more free tickets for MOMA in October:)But I had a really good time and it was nice to meet someone again. Unfortunately she is living in Brooklyn and that is a lil bit too far away for me but we can meet downtown and that really rocks.Well, what else?? Oh today i talked with my first Hostmom in Chicago for like 40 Minutes and seems like my lil brother will stay in Chicago for a month next spring and I will fly over to meet my old Hostfamily with my Mom and Dad . So we are gonna have a big Family Reunion ..Cant wait for that !!
But besides that business is as usual . I drove my little kid to his Environmental thing again today and then we hung around at home because it was sooo hot and especially humid outside.Thats about it . I am really excited for the Calitrip and and cant wait until Saturday. But I dont know if I have a pc there or if I want to stay inside and write my blog when the beach is like 5 minutes away but I will try my best to keep you guys updated.
Okay I hope the next time I am sitting with a laptop on my lap will be with my new Macbook Pro in September!! So excited about that

Thats how you could describe my day today. I went downtown to Times Square and walked up to Central Park and visited the Strawberry Field , which is dedicated to John Lennon, who was assassinated just across the street.Its a very nice and peaceful place . Then I walked up to a little castle in the center of Central Park and walked back to The Lake and there was this guy playing guitar and some people sitting on the lawn and listening , so I just sat down and listened to him and just sat there for like an hour . It was pretty cool and a nice atmosphere. Then I went up to meet Gustaf and we sat down on the great lawn and just hung out a little bit and watched people play frisbee or baseball . Thats pretty much it . It was a very nice day and I shot again some nice picture , which I will also upload in September.
Okay I better go to bed because I have to work tomorrow…grrr so that means getting up at six on a Sunday !! That is definitely a turn-down lol
And my Social Security card arrived today , too and I am going to open a bank account on Monday ,yaaay .

WOW …I just came back from my trip to the Brooklyn Bridge at night. It was awesome !! I was speechless. It was soooo beautiful… On the left the Statue of Liberty and on the Right Midtown Manhattan with the Empire State Building and The Chrysler Building and anything enlightened …Wow just Wow!!That was definitely another moment of total freedom . Thats what I felt up there. I stood at least five minutes just in one spot and I was just looking at the scenery and I felt nothing but happiness and there were nothing to worry about and no problems in the world andthink this memory cant be taken away by anyone and I think it was good that I was alone because that made the experience even more intense and no one could distract me . It is definitely a good place for a proposition lol .
I will upload the photos as soon as I have my Macbook which should be in the first week of September ..so stay tuned for updates !!
So tomorrow I will be off and I think I am going to explore Manhattan a little bit more . And just week until California!!! I cant wait !!
Social Security Office

Soo I just got back from the Social Security Office where I handed in my application for my Social Security card .I needed like an hour to get there and I was still in Queens…so you may get a picture how big it is over here.Then I stood in line for an hour …arghh my back was killing me lol. But everything went well and I will receive my social security card in around two weeks and then I can finally open a bank account.
Lets see what else happens today ..maybe more later

Well, my first week as an au-pair is over and I am still alive lol.Like I said earlier it is still pretty relaxed and I had a nice weekend without work and I met someone from Sweden on friday and it was pretty fun.Yesterday i went to the mall and bought some stuff for cali Thanks again to Kristina who took me .And today I went to The Highline and it was just amazing and sooo pretty . It was one of the coolest things I have ever seen but unfortunately it started to rain and I had to go to the Apple store but that wasnt bad at all and after that I was able to speak to my family for the first time since I left . That was very exciting and definitely a Highlight of my day.
So tomorrow it will start all over again and I gotta get up at six again …yuck .Okay ,I will continue to watch Hitch the date doctor. Lets see if I can learn anything haha

…just got back from running through the rain for like 40 minutes . It was wet but really cool at the same time .And I now know how to get to the subway station where the one subway line takes off,which I have to take to get to downtown Manhattan
This morning we went up to Jones Beach but it was kinda rainy and foggy up there but very pretty although the beach was a little bit dirty but we had a good time and I think thats the most important thing!!
Nothing special on the schedule for this week but on saturday I will go shopping in downtown Manhattan:) cant wait for that lol.
And I will go to a Roots concert on September 8th for just 10 bucks !! That is soo cool.

Hey everybody.
I drove for the first time in the US today and it was really nice and after a few miles I really enjoyed it .I also signed up for a gym so I hopefully wont gain to many weight hmm what else??nothing really special happened the last days . its just very relaxed and I am trying to get into the daily routine of the family.This weekend I will get off and I think I will take this time to buy some stuff for California in Manhattan and to do a sightseeing trip on sunday.
Thats it so far and I will continue to watch the Mets game now.

Hi everybody.
Dont blame me for my mistakes .Because I am here to brush up my english;)NYC is terrific so far and I am soooo happy that this stupid orientation course is behind me .Okay, it wasnt stupid all the time , but reaaaly boring from time to time!But I had my highlight yesterday so far . Here is what I did:I went running with my roommate at sunset in central park with all the skyline of manhattan in the background. I still cant believe I am actually here in New York and that I am gonna live here for a year.Today I was picked up by my hostfamily and everything was pretty cool . I think we will have a lot of fun together and tomorrow I will drive up to Long Island to an Art exhibition by my hostdad . I am pretty excited but I gotta get up at six in morning because the one kid is going to summer school and I have to see how everything is done.
I am going to bed now …way to tired
