…Sorry I didn´t write yesterday but at the time I came home I was too tired and the wifi connection in the bus wasn´t that fast because a lot of people were using it .
But let´s start at the beginning : On friday I left the great city New York at 10 pm and headed south with the destination Washington DC. The bus ride was pretty amazing because there were only like 20 people in the bus and the seats next to me were empty so I could claim four seats for myseld and it was perfect for me because I cant sleep while sitting so I could kick back and relax and slept the half of the ride . But when we left the Lincoln Tunnel which connects New York City and New Jersey I had a great view of the city at night and it made me happy that I will come back here in just two days 
We arrived In DC at 2 o ´clock and I was picked up by four very happy Germans who have been kicked out of a club before and by their happiness i could tell that they had a certain amount of alcohol before as well haha . So we drove back to Jenny´s house where I would stay for the next two nights and the first thing I noticed was that no one was on the streets and the highway was completely empty . Never seen something like that here before . There is always traffic in NYC .On Saturday Jenny had to take care of the kid untill 2 and she wanted to show me a place which is basically a pizza place with a lof of those arcade games but we couldn´t find it and ended up in a normal pizza place with a very funny korean waiter who always came back to our table and wanted to talk to us .So after three slices of pizza that where waaay to greasy I was reaaaally full and we drove to DC to meet a friend of Jenny. After a while we finally met her and we went to the White House and I was kind of disappointed because I thought it would be bigger but its still impressing and I wouldn´ t say no if someone offered me to live in there. The plan for saturday night was to go to a club but we heard of a college party hosted by german students so we went to that party because it sounded like more fun and most of all cheaper 
I can´t reveal all the details here because I know my parents are reading this blog , too haha but I guess because I wrote that the first question on our next skype session will be : What happened at that college party haha . So , I think I can write it down here anyway .
When we came to the party it was already really crowded and it was soo weird going to a party in the USA and the only language I heard in that house was german.But it was like in those movies : Everybody was running around with their red cups and there were beer cans everywhere and people were playing beer pong in the basement . Paradise !!And what would a college party without the cops?? They came around 2 and Jenny and I were jumping out of the window and went away through the garden .
After this very entertaining night we went to DC the next day and I did my sightseing tour and visited all the sights in DC and Jenny dropped me off at the bus stop at 7 again and to my disappointment the bus was full and I couldn´t sleep on four seats again haha and even worse I caught a cold and annoyed everyone in the bus with my coughing and sneezing . When I arrived in New York again and saw all the people on the sidewalk again and the crowded subways I knew I was home again Too bad I arrived in Flushing at 12 44 and did not have a lot of sleep tonight and that was the reason why I was completely tired and sick this morning and needed as double as much time for everything but I went back to bed and slept untill 11 30 and that made me feel better or at least I wasn´t tired anymore
Alright and now I will go to bed to get the rest of my sleep

Hej,
sorry for this delayed weekend post but yesterday I was just not in the mood to blog . I am going to tell you the reasons later.
So like every weekend the weekend started on Friday and me and the kids sang Happy Birthday for my mum on skype and I could see all her friends again which was pretty fun and nice and now I am even more excited to meet and see everybody over Christmas. After putting the kids to bed I went in the city to meet some people and we hung out at that place called Asian again and the main reason why we went out was to celebrate Carols birthday but she showed up at 1: 15 ..Crazy brazilians lol . But it was fun and on Saturday it was soooo rainy again and I still cant call an umbrella my own lol . I almost bought one but I don´ t know why I didn´t but after it started to rain like crazy again I definetely regret my decision and I waited under a roof for like 30 minutes but fortunately the rain stopped and I went to all those free and great galleries in Chelsea . They really had some nice pieces from some really talented artists but also some stuff where I don´t know whats the art behind it . There was , for example, that one room with three white “paintings” only white and that was it. But I guess that´s what makes art so unique ! Everyone can make art and if this person thinks it´s art then , I guess , its art !!
Later I met Peter and we shot some photos of the foggy and rainy NYC. And on Sunday I talked to my family and later went in the city to meet Sonja and we walked around in China Town and seriously I hate it there !! Way too crowded and all those guys who want to sell you their ” original ” Rolex and Breitlings but I got an I love NY shirt for 2 bucks !! Yaaay . So after leaving Chinatown we just sat down in Hudson River Park and enjoyed the view ( Hoboken , Statue of Liberty) and it was soo sunny One of the warmest falls I have had so far !! I really enjoy it
The night shouldnt be bad as well because I met Gustaf and his girlfriend and we walked over the Brooklyn Bridge at night and you might not believe it but I am still stunned when I walk over it at night !! Its just wonderful and breathtaking !!!Yeah and my Weekend ended , like so many weekends before in the frozen yogurt place hahah.
The reason why I didn´t write yesterday was because my oldest kid had his first melt down with me alone at home and that definetily sucked !! And here is what happened :
I was plating his food and I accidentially dropped his plate and he completely lost it and was hitting his brother and tried to hit me and I had to raise my voice to him for the first time since I got here but he didn´t hit me and he ate his food super fast and then I sent him up in his room and he calmed himself down and the rest of the night was no proble, but still after that I wasn´t in the mood to write a long text .
So I hope I can book my bus to DC tonight but we will see

Basketball…

…Well, it took a while again . Sorry about that. So lets start right away and jump into the action lol . So on tuesday my little kid had a half day and that means that he was home at 12 and then I decided to take him to the park and collect some leaves …..Man i havent been doing that for years . When we were home we put the leaves in a book to flaten them ….just like in the good old times . Thanks to my parents again haha . And on Wendnesday they both had off because of veterans day but I had school in the morning so I couldn´t take care of them but then after school I met my hostdad and the kids at the Highline because the big kid wasnt at the Highline yet so we hung out there for a couple of minutes and then had , once again , a one dollar slice and then we took the train home and I made a leaves book with the little kid and that killed a lot of time haha and it wasn´t a hard day of work at all So today I took the kids to that basketball thing again and on the way back I drove on the highway for the first time …..stupid speed limit …come one why do you need three lanes when you are only allowed to drive 80. Cant wait to go back on the Autobahn again
Okay time for bed now and I am soo excited for the weekend . I hope its gonna be good

….Sorry about the title but I wasn´creative at all today . And first of all I want to apologize for all the misspelled words and the mistakes in the last post but I haven´t had any time to correct it because I was kind of late for class
So what happened this weekend? Because the rest of the week wasn´t too exciting . The only thing which was new was that my oldest kid went to his Basketball Buddy training on Thursday. Basketball Buddy is a thing were Highschool kids volunteer to play Basketball with kids with special need for about an hour . I think it´s a pretty cool thing and my hostkid had a lot of fun .
So Friday I went to a Warren G concert with Gustaf in the Music Hall of Williamsburg but the show started at 12 so we went to a bar and had a nice big cup of Bud for just 4 Bucks yaay . Still don´t like to spend so much money on beer lol .
But unfortunately he was feeling really bad so we left earlier but I was not feeling like going home so I had ,once again , a frozen yogurt ahaha. And on Saturday I was searching for presents for my brother and my mom and it definetely took some time untill I found the presents of whom I think they will like it !!I hope I will find some time during the day tomorrow to get them on their way to Germany so they will be there on time . Saturday night we had a nice small party at Emma´s new appartement and I had a lot of fun !!Today I went to Roosvelt Island because I was hoping to see something special there but I was disappointed because there is nothing special there but the tramway ride back was sort of funny and I hoped to get some pictures but I didnt find a got spot so I didn´t upload any pictures today . After that I walked down to Bryant Park and they already have the Ice skating pond there . Isnt that crazy : An ice skating pond in the beginning of November but seems like the Winter and christmas time is going to be really exciting !! Then I talked to my parents on skype and then met Sonja to have dinner with her and we ended up going to five guys in Greenwich village and it is really good and it was the first burger which really filled me up and after that we went to the Washington Square park and there were once again all those people playing the drums or guitar and the one guy was singing and it was amazing and I had a really good time !!
And now I have to finish a stupid broshure about Frankfurt for my english class….grrr

…like I promised, I am going to write more and here we are !! Right now I am sitting in the lobby of the beautiful and famous Columbia University with my laptop on my lab and my Starbucks tea ..yeaaah not coffee because I hate coffee lol next to me . Feels like being a real student haha .But the clas I am waiting for to begin is still really boring and I didn´t learn anythiny in there yet but who cares therefore I can tell people I am going to Columbia
But I wanted to tell you about yesterday: Yesterday was Election day and most of the public schools were close , such as the school my little kid goes to and that meant he is home during my time where I am usually off and thats why I decided to take him to Manhattan and to be more precisly to the Highline because he has never been to that part of the city before and it was soo funny to see how excited he was . So we went down to the Highline and walked around for a while and then I promised him to go to the Apple Store which is just around the corner and I think its the most beautiful and the biggest Apple store in Manhattan . I know I am crazy about that Apple stuff but thats how it is haha . So after touching every device they had he got hungry and took him to the 1$ plus tax 
pizza place and I also promised him to go to the frozen yourt store on Bleeker street because we all loved the frozen yogurt we had in San Diego and so we took the subway down to Bleecker street and had a frozen yogurt. YUMMMMY!!! But there was some time left before we had to gome again so I convinced him to go to a nearby park . The Washington Square Park which is surrounded by the NYU and it was awesome because all the students were hanging out in the park and some peopler were playing music and I also brought my Macbook and so we hung out there for an hour and just enjoyed the beautiful weather and tried to get as much sun as we could because I guess it´s getting cold pretty soon 
Yeah thats about my day yesterday ….so pretty easy money and who says au pairs have to work hard haha .
Okay class is about to start so I have to head up to the classroom and they dont have an elevator ….grrr come on …where are we ?? I thought this USA the country of all the lazy people haha .

Hi,
wow what a mysterious title , huh ?I am wondering what you guys are expecting from that post but it won´t be about any bad things . Because that is what I would expect from a post with a title like that .
First of all I am extremely sorry that I am writing so rarely or only every Sunday and I am promising I will write more from that day on !! Email with your complains when I don´t lol.Its up to you and how nice you write that and after that I will decide if I will listen to you lol
Okay , so this weekend was Halloween and I was really not sure what to expect because like you know Halloween is not that big of a deal in Germany and I think I just went trick or treating once as a kid and then never again. So I was pretty excited to see whats going on here on Halloween.The day before Halloween we went to a nice bar on Bleecker Street and it was pretty nice . On Saturday I got up at ten and talked with the family for almost two hourse ….Always nice talking to you guys and since I couldn´t go trick or treating with the kids because I wanted to go to the Parade I participated in the Pumpkin carving and I would like to upload some pictures of it but I can´t due to protect the privacy of the family.Then I went down to the Greenwich Village where the Parade was about to start and I met Carol and we watched the Parade untill the point where it started to rain again …it has been raining for the last 3 Saturday nights … But then we met some other Aupairs and went to an Italian Restaurant…don´t ask me why we went to a restaurant to get some wine . But we had a good Montepulgiano ( I hope I spelled it right ) and then Gustaf and me went to Brooklyn to meet a friend of Gustaf and after a while we took a cab back to Manhattan .Yeaaah my first taxi ride in NYC . Another thing I can cross off from my list lol and we just hung out in Manhattan and it was great to see all those dressed up people and some of then had great costumes… a rubix cube , domino cubes , really scary ones and one guy was just wearing a Louis Vuitton purse . Very funny !! And then we wanted to go to a club but couldn´t find a cab and here comes the next highlight of my night !!! the swedish guy stopped a limo!!! and we hopped in and I was actually in a limo in NYC !! How awesome is that ???Unfortunately the limo driver didn´t know where to go so we had to get out again and hopped in the next cab and went to the club and the swedish guy knew a guy who has been working at that place before and that´s why we got in for free and the good thing was that we changed the time back for one hour and so we had one hour more to go out
And today I slept untill 2 20 pm. haha and then ended my day again with a pizza on the highline .
So , how you can see it was a very nice weekend with a lot of things going on and a lot of highlights!!
